HARD WASTE COLLECTION – NO BOOKING NO COLLECTION
Council provides a FREE annual HARD WASTE COLLECTION to residential residents and ratepayers. The hard waste collection will be held in September 2026.

BOOKINGS CLOSE THURSDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER at 12 NOON.
Please separate metals from other objects as these will be collected separately for recycling.
HARD WASTE MUST BE….
- Not longer than 2 metres in length
- Able to be lifted comfortably by two people
- 2 cubic meters maximum – 2 metres (L) x 1 metres (H) x 1 metres (W)
- 50kg or less in weight
ITEMS PERMITTED:
- furniture and bedding including mattresses
- washing machines, stoves and dryers
- toys and bikes
- electrical equipment
- scrap metal and timber items (up to 2 metres in length)
- tools and gardening equipment
- carpets and linoleum (rolled and tied with rope)
- kitchenware including pottery and crockery
- BBQ’s
- exercise equipment
ITEMS NOT PERMITTED:
- gassed appliances including fridges, freezers and air conditioning units
- green waste
- oils or liquid waste of any type including paint cans with residual liquids in them
- asbestos
- items in plastic bags including household waste
- gas bottles
- vehicle bodies or parts including engines, body panels, tyres and batteries
- building materials including bricks, concrete, plasterboard, broken glass
- dirt or rocks
- chemical or hazardous waste
- ceramics including toilets and basins
