A Natural Escape: Understanding Coastal Forests: A Tasmanian Geographic Expedition
October 19 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
An on-trail workshop to discuss what makes coastal forests such marvellous environments.
We’ll find ourselves on the beautiful sheltered waterways of the Tasman Peninsula at Fortescue Bay, and explore what makes these places different from inland forests.
We’ll build a conceptual toolkit that will help you describe and observe the effect of the saltwater environment on the forest, and vice versa.
We’ll use our powers of observation to find interesting and beautiful micro-environments in one of the most picturesque coastal regions on Earth.
