Changes to Your Details
Any changes in your personal information (such as postal/residential addresses) should be forwarded to the Tasman Council as soon as possible to ensure all records are kept up to date.
You can do this through one of the following options;

- In person at our Council Office, 1713 Main Road, Nubeena, TAS 7184
Please note that in the case of name change (i.e. marriage), Council wishes to advise these changes must be made via the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment, who will later notify Council. This ensures all Titles Records and Information remain current and accurate across all relevant Departments.
Rates Direct Debit
Direct Debit can be a more convenient and a quicker way to pay your Rates. Using Direct Debit, can enable funds to de deducted from your nominated bank account to pay your Rates.

Payments made via Direct Debit can be as follows;

Payment of Rates
Tasman Council support a number of ways to pay your accounts.
BPAY Telephone and Internet Banking
Contact your participating financial institute to pay from cheque, savings and credit card account.
DOG REGISTRATION: Biller Code: 889154 and Reference Number located at the bottom of your Dog Registration Notice.
RATES: Biller Code: 18499 and Reference Number located at the bottom of your Rates Notice

BPOINT Payment
You can make a credit card payment through BPOINT.

Paying in Person at Council Offices
Rates and Charges may be paid at the Tasman Council office at 1713 Main Road, Nubeena TAS 7184, between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday, by cash, cheque of EFTPOS.
Mailing Your Payment
Please detach the payment slip from your rates notice or invoice and return it together with your cheque or money order, payable to Tasman Council, and marked ‘Not Negotiable’. 1713 Main Road, Nubeena TAS 7184.
Australia Post
Payment is accepted at all Australia Post offices using any barcoded rates notice applicable to the property you are paying rates.
Due Dates
Rates are paid each financial year (1 July to 30 June).
Payments can be made as one payment on the 1st instalment date or in four equal instalments on the due dates shown on the rates notice.
An annual rates notice is sent out in July followed by instalment reminder notices prior to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th instalment dates.

Rates Remission
If you are in receipt of an Australian Services Government Pension Concession Card or a Health Care Card (not a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card) you may be eligible for a concession of your rates.
For existing concession card holders, verified by Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs, these remissions will be automatically shown as a reduction on your rates notice when they are issued.
If your remission is not automatically shown as a reduction on your rates notice, please contact the Tasman Council’s Rates Officer on (03) 6250 9200.
All eligible Concession Card holders must present their current (in-date) Pension Concession Card or Health Care Card when applying for a rates remission for their property.
New card holders (if start date on the card is on or before 1st July) should complete a remission form before 31st March each financial year. For further information, including conditions of eligibility for a Pension Concession, please contact the Rates Officer on (03) 6250 9200.
