Centenary Celebrations
2007 marks the centenary anniversary of the Tasman Municipality, providing a great opportunity for Tasman Council and the community to work together to celebrate 100 years of local government.
A centenary celebrations committee has been formed with ten enthusiastic community members coordinating a range of events from August this year through to the end of January 2008.
Activities and events are based on five basic themes. They are: community history, arts and entertainment, town beautification, a major event, and Council history.
Community members are invited to make comments or suggestions to the Chair of the Centenary Celebrations Committee, Keith O'Hara on mobile 0429 190 367 or email keith.ohara@hotmail.com.
