Councils Youth House provides the municipalities youth a place to meet together in a relaxed atmosphere and just chill out or talk over any problems they may be facing with Council's Youth Worker.

There are many parks and reserves in and around the Tasman and Forestier Peninsulas.

The most recently upgraded is Judd Park, Nubeena, which has had new play equipment, picnic tables and a professionally designed skate park installed.

Tasman Council invites nominations from the community for Australia Day awards in the following categories:

Citizen of the year
(for persons 27 years and older on January 26 2007)

Young Citizen Award
(for persons under 27 years on January 26 2007)

Community Event of the Year Award

All residents of the Municipality and community events conducted over the past year are eligible for nomination.  Selection will be made by Tasman Council and will be based on service to the community or outstanding achievement in any field.
